1. What types of CAD files can you print from?
We can print from any of the following file formats:

  • HPGL, HPGL2
  • Adobe .PDF files
  • AutoCAD .PLT or .DWG files
  • Microstation .PLT or .000 files

top

2. How do I set up a plot file from CAD programs?
You will need to use an HPGL or HPGL2 printer driver, like the DesignJet 755CM C3198A, which can be found on the Autocad disk. We can also print B&W tiff, .plt, dwg files as well. If you so request we would be happy to fax you an AutoCAD configuration sheet to assist you.

RIBP prefers to receive files for plotting in PLT format. PDFs with instructions for how to do this are listed below:

     RIBP D/Plot from AutoCAD 13
(file size: 27 KB)
     RIBP D/Plot from AutoCAD 14
(file size: 24 KB)
  RIBP D/Plot from AutoCAD 2000/'02/'04
(file size: 24 KB)
  RIBP D/Plot from AutoCAD Lite '97 & '98
(file size: 25 KB)
